International
Food Festival
Nipissing University has
hosted the International Food Festival each February since 2005.
The North Bay & District
Multicultural Centre partnered with the university in 2008 to assist
in the organization and that partnership will continue.
People from the community
and university bring a dish from their home country to share with
visitors to the food festival. An entry fee of $10 gives you a number
of tickets, which you use to sample the foods of the world.
All proceeds go toward
a refugee student the university is sponsoring.

Everyone
enjoyed the entertainment at the International Food Festival at Nipissing
University.

There
was lots of food from around the world for people to sample at the
International Food Festival at Nipissing University.

Councillor, at the International Food Festival at Nipissing University.

Not
only did people enjoy the tastes of the dishes, but they often got
the opportunity to learn about the cultural significance of the food,
from people such as Alex Dorohoi, above, serving a dish from his native
Romania.
