English / French as an Additional Language Tutor

Tutoring assists newcomers to the North Bay community, who are non-native speakers of English/French by providing small group or individual tutoring. The aim is to help newcomers whose first language is not English/French with basic - intermediate English/French literacy skills. (Assist with reading, spelling and proper pronunciation. Keep clients motivated and focused. Assess individual needs and choose exercises accordingly. Ensure the material being used is suited to the ability of the clients. Initiate and stimulate conversation during each session. Help the newcomers enhance fluency and confidence through conversation.)

Experience teaching or tutoring is required.
